NOW HIRING: Production Assistant (Part Time)

We are a tight team of easy going, efficiency driven, caffeine guzzling, coffee people. You’ll interact with roasted coffee, learn how to use semi-automated packing equipment, opportunities to cross train in any production department and add your favourite songs to the spotify playlist we rock out to.

We are looking for someone to work 1 to 2 shifts a week, on Wednesdays and Fridays (8-16 hours a week). The opportunity to increases hours is available upon performance and interest in the job.

DUTIES (including but not limited to):

• Ensure that pre- and post-production procedures are completed in a safe, productive manner.
• Stay focused on the task at hand and support Production team.
• Keep pace with production timeline.
• Record appropriate data during production.
• Assist in shipping and receiving duties.
• Keep warehouse (including all work spaces, common spaces, and bathroom) clean at all times.
• Maintain production equipment (cleaning, troubleshooting).
• Complete tasks assigned by the production manager.

REQUIREMENTS

• Valid G license and clean abstract (not required for initial interview)
• Ability to be able to move/lift heavy boxes (approximately 50 lbs)
• Ability to work in a team and be a self-starter
• No perfumes or strong deodorants
• Desire to keep learning!

ADDITIONAL SKILLS OR ASSETS

• A good understanding of packing/shipping
• A good disposition towards clients/customers (mostly when making deliveries)
• A good understanding of Ottawa streets and locations
• Inventory experience

Hours:Part time with option to move to full-time.

Compensation: $16-$18 per hour depending on skills and experience
