Technivorm Moccamaster KBGV Select Coffee Maker

The Moccamaster legacy began in 1968. To this day, the company continues to innovate new coffee makers, as seen with its latest 2019 release: The Technivorm Moccamaster KBGV Select (1). We have it in a cute pistachio green to suit your cozy kitchen aesthetic. It features a Brew-Volume Selector switch, so you can choose to brew a full carafe for up to 10 coffees, or half that to avoid unnecessary brew waste.

Its elegant glass carafe is comfortable to hold while pouring thanks to its ergonomic handle design that perfectly frames your pouring hand. You’ll get the SCA-recommended temperature for your brew water every time, which is between the sweet spot of 91 to 96 degrees Celsius. The temperature of the hot plate and the brewing speed are both adjustable while still adhering to the SCA’s Golden Cup standard.

The Moccamaster KBGV Select has an accompanying heating element to keep your brew’s warmth for up to 100 minutes. Anytime you remove the carafe, the brew basket will auto-stop the coffee flow and resume it only when it is set back in place. Perfect for when you want that first cup of coffee right away.

Why choose a glass carafe? Glass is stylish, easier to clean, allows you to track your brewing progress, and does not retain any flavors or scents of prior brews. Keep in mind it’s more fragile and necessitates a hot plate to keep your coffee hot.

The Technivorm Moccamaster KBGT is for coffee lovers who want a lot of coffee as hassle-free as possible. Just add water and coffee grounds, then turn the switch on. We offer it in three different colours to help you match it with your decor. Like the KBGV Select, the KBGT has an auto-stop feature with its cone-shaped brew basket. Unlike the KBGV Select, the KBGT comes with a dual-wall stainless steel thermal carafe that is lined with borosilicate glass to preserve the heat of your brew for hours on end. The included Brew-Thru lid allows coffee to drip straight into the carafe while minimizing any possibility of heat loss. This enables your coffee to remain flavorful with nuanced tasting notes and a lasting aroma.

Why opt for a thermal carafe? Stainless steel is built to last and does not require the use of a hot plate. Things to consider are that it’s not ideal for precise pours and it’s more susceptible to limescale buildup.
