We like to consider Outlier as our gateway coffee into medium and lighter roasts. It is the perfect medium-dark coffee for those who prefer a cup that isn't too smokey, or too acidic. Outlier aims to capture the best of both worlds with it's orange-like acidity at the initial sip, to it's smokey walnut finish. It is neither a dark roast, nor a medium roast, it is the Outlier.

Located in the province of Jaen, in the rural department of Cajamarca, Peru, Sol & Café was founded in 2005 with support from Caritas Jaen, a Catholic social service and humanitarian organization, member of the Caritas Internationalis. This cooperative moved quickly to acquire the necessary organic and fair trade certificates in order to sell directly into North American and European coffee markets.
